Overview - This was a play I heard a lot about detailed Casa Nova in Hell. The way the play was explained to me was vastly different than the play I read. The actual play was lovely from beginning to end exceptionally long, very wordy with a ton of talking especially in the dream sequence which where we meet Don Juan in hell, who may or may not have been raking coals it does not matter.
Theme – Conflict between man and woman gender roles and how it plays in society.
Biggest takeaway – Don Juan in hell in conversation with a past lover and her father who visits hell to talk to Don Juan.
Overall Satisfaction – 9/10 ambitious, funny, clever and great writing with great character choices.
Comments on the Author – Great play great writing this is Shaw’s magnum opus.
